Description
Scenic Rivers Land Trust (SRLT), a local nonprofit devoted to conserving open space in Anne Arundel County, invites its neighbors to a workshop for landowners on the process and tax reduction benefits of land protection agreements, or “conservation easements."
Workshop topics include basic conservation easement terms, the tax benefits of easement donation, the easement process through the eyes of a landowner, as well as a presentation from an Anne Arundel County representative on the funds available through county programs for easement purchase.
It was similar outreach effort that led to the development of the South River Greenway - so if you are a landowner in either the Severn or South River watersheds and own 10+ acres of forest or farmland - we hope to see you there.
